After presenting or pitch and gaining feedback from our peers, as a group we decided to focus in making our idea a little bit more specific to a wider issue within society today. Leading on from the idea of text messages in our old idea, we have decided to centre our attention on social media and cyber bullying. Our new idea would consist of one character only, which meets the needs of a short film, without making the plot too confusing. our one character, Lucy, moves to a new house and a new school. Unfortunately at her new school she doesn't make many new friends ans starts to get picked on by people at school. After a series of text messages and messages on social media, Lucy finally deletes her social media. At the end of our plot, Lucy then decides to end her own life by overdosing on pills as she is unable to deal with the isolation. We decided to focus on a wider issue within society as cyber bullying can commonly be seen as a minor thing, when it can cause a lot of physiological damage to people.
