• Contrasts as it’s also where she ends her life at the end of the short film
• Creates a double meaning

• Indexical sign for death or danger- creates a tense atmosphere
• The pills are white- the colour white can represent ‘purity’- contradicts the events happening in the film
• They foreshadow the forthcoming events - her death
• Bottle is medical - mums pills- she takes too many- shows the immaturity of her knowledge.
