textual analysis-

Short films have the ability to change the dominant ideology in the media industry. Gramsci's Hegonomy says that representation is unequal. This means the dominant ideology is represented the most and therefore that is what people of society are most likely to believe. This is to keep the class system within society. Through the use of the micro element sound, the voice over that is heard throughout the whole of the short film is a key feature in challenging this theory. This is because the voice over is asking the audience direct questions and getting them involved. This is lead to the audience gathering their own individual opinions on the problems within  society instead of just feeding off of opinions and statements from people of a higher class. As the voice over is a direct address, it will open up the opportunity for a range of audience to form questions and enquiries themselves, further breaking the social class barriers. The voice over also perpetuates the negative stereotypes that are problems in society even today.
